Marie Porter
Marie has been an exceptional team player throughout her time in scouting so far. Stepping in post-COVID to help restart our Cub section — with no previous Scouting knowledge at all — Marie threw herself into the role with enthusiasm, humility, and a determination to give young people the opportunities they had missed. Marie consistently delivers engaging, meaningful sessions for our Cubs, bringing energy, creativity, and warmth to every meeting. She is always ready to step in for other sections — at camps, meetings, or events — often at short notice, always with a smile and a can-do attitude. Her reliability, positivity, and genuine care lift the whole team and make Scouting better for both volunteers and young people alike. Marie is truly indispensable to our group and we are so thankful for all the time she gives to scouting. Her resilience, compassion, and unwavering teamwork embody the very best of what Scouting stands for.
